About Belmead

Belmead community is situated in west Edmonton, north of Whitemud Drive. Most of the residential properties in the area were constructed in the between 1970 and 1998 with some dwelling dating back to the early 1960s. Single detached houses account for about half of the homes in Belmead, with town homes and apartment style condominiums as the remainder. Belmead also offers quick access to Anthony Henday Drive via 87 avenue Just a block away to the east is North America’s largest mall; West Edmonton Mall which can be reached on foot. St Benedict Catholic Elementary School resides on 93 avenue as well as Belmead Park, a community league (including a ice skating rink and community events. ) and beside it Belmead Public School. Just down the block on 182 street you’ll find Belmead Shopping Centre including numerous amenities; Mac’s, Shoppers Drug Mart, daycare centres, restaurants, physical therapy, saunas and spa’s. The Covenant Christian Reformed Church, Mac’s, Design dentistry, pet clinic and pizza place is found on southeast Belmead on 87 Avenue. This neighbourhood also has Park west Toboggan Bowl (popular tobogganing hill ) and easy access to public transit and LRT as well.
