About Brander Gardens

Brander Gardens community is situated in south west Edmonton, across from Fort Edmonton Park. The majority of residential properties in the area were built in the 1970s with apartment style condos as the predominant type of dwelling. There are also single detached homes and townhouses. Brander Gardens overlooks the North Saskatewan River and is right on Whitemud Drive, a major east-west freeway in southern Edmonton. The neighborhood's schools include; Brander Gardens Public Elementary School, Riverbend Public Junior High School, Saint Monica Catholic Elementary School, Options academy, a music school and Tempo School offering kindergarten as well as grades 1-12. Riverbend Shopping Centre, on 56 Avenue offers multiple amenities like; Paul Sadler Swimland, a veterinary hospital, convenience store, pharmacy, a family practice physician, daycare, hairdresser and salon & spa. Public Transit does run throughout the neighbourhood and the closest LRT station is the South Campus Fort Edmonton Transit Centre to the east. Brander Gardens offers a quick commute to the river valley, Fort Edmonton park, Snow Valley Ski Club, Rainbow Valley Park, The Valley Zoo across the river, and University area via Fox Drive.
