Canon Ridge neighbourhood is situated in north-east Edmonton area built in the 1960s but most of the development dates to the 1980s & 1990’s. The most common type of residences are low-rise apartments, some single family dwellings, and duplexes. Canon Ridge overlooks The North Saskatewan River, and is backing onto Hermitage Park Road where you'll find Hermitage Park which has fishing and paddling activities, boating, picnic sites, natural multi-use trails, a spacious off-leash dog area and a parking lot. Victoria Trail on the neighborhood's west border, there are amenities including Canon Ridge Park, a Petro-Canada, Tim Hortons and bank. This neighbourhood is in close proximity to the Clareview Town Shopping Centre, Edmonton Soccer Association, a recreation centre, golf course, ski area, Yellowhead Trail which is soon to be converted to a freeway and Fort Road; a major route in Edmonton. The closest LRT is the Belvedere Station and public transit runs throughout the neighbourhood as well.
