About Capilano

Capilano is a mature Southeast Edmonton community, situated south of 106 Avenue, overlooking North Saskatchewan River and Gold Bar Ravine to the east. The majority of the homes in the area are single detached houses which were built during 1950s. Some of the most expensive real estate in this part of the city is located on Hardisty Drive and Capilano Crescent. Nearing the centre of the neighbourhood resides Capilano Park & Community Park which offers year-round activitie’s like natural viewpoints, cross- country ski trails, a spacious off-leash area, picnic sites, multi-use trails, a boat launch and washrooms.There is another park; Alexander Thiele park on 46 Street and the Suzuki Charter School is on 54 street. Just south of that down 106 avenue resides Saint Gabriel Catholic and Elementary School. 106th also includes; Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Hope Lutheran Church, Resurrection Catholic Parish, as well as a daycare centre, barber shop, and a icecream-coffee Shop. Not only does Capilano have quick access to Wayne Gretzky Drive and Downtown core, but is also in close vicinity to some of Edmonton's popular attractions like the River Valley, Highlands Gold Club, Concordia University, Rundle Park, ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre. Capilano Transit Centre is minutes south and public transit is easily accessible as well.
