About Evansdale

Evansdale community is situated in north east Edmonton. The majority of residential development in Evansdale occured in the 1970’s where more than half of the dwellings built were single detached houses. Bungalows and bi-levels with detached garage are the most common type of the home found in the area. On 150 Avenue you’ll find Olga Park with; the Boys & Girls Club Big Brothers Youth Organization, Saint Philip Catholic Elementary School and Cardinal Leger Catholic Junior High School. Nearing Evansdale core resides Evansdale Park, Evansdale Public Elementary School and an Out of School Care. This community is represented by Evansdale Community League which started dating back to 1971, offering programs for sports, workshops, sessions, events and is a great way to get connected with your community. Ukrainian Youth Unity Complex is located just off 153 Avenue and in Evansdale east-south corner is a quaint strip mall with a pharmacy, convenient store, pub, restaurants and an animal hospital. On the neighbourhood's west border is Canadian Forces Trail and 97 Street - main arterial roads in Edmonton which provide you a quick and easy commute to North Town Centre and Northgate Shopping Centre. Public Transit is easily accessible in this neighbourhood and the closest LRT station is Belvedere Station off Fort Road.
