Gariepy community is situated in West Edmonton, between Callingwood and Lessard Roads, overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley. Named after for Joseph Hormisdas Gariepy, half of the residetnial properties in the area were constructed in the 1970s with the remainder developed thereafter.
