About Twin Brooks

Twin Brooks is a newer community in Southwest Edmonton. Its boundaries are between Anthony Henday on the south, 23rd Avenue on the north, Big Bear Park on the east and Whitemud Creek to the west. Twin Brooks is bordered on the west by Whitemud Creek, and Blackmud Creek on the the east, both creeks converge at the northern tip of this community, hence, Twin Brooks. Building of homes began here in the 1980's, but the majority of the residential properties were built in the 1990's. Most dwellings are single detached homes, but row houses, duplexes and low rise apartments can be also found in the area. Amenities, schools, and businesses in Twin Brooks are: George P. Nicholson School, Twin Brooks Park & Community League, Porcupine Park, Tim Hortons, Esso Gas Station, Awake Coffee House, Edmonton Maha Ganapathy Temple, and Alive & Aligned Yoga. Twin Brooks offers quick access to Anhtony Henday Drive and Century LRT Station. Other features of this community are a man-made lake and park at the center.
