About Abbottsfield

Abbottsfield is a mature community in east Edmonton, for which the parameters are between Yellowhead Trail along the north, 34 street on the east, then 118 Avenue connecting to Victoria Trail on the east. Although annexed by Edmonton in the early nineteen sixties, residential development did not start till nearly a decade after, and was unique in that all homes are either townhomes, or walk ups. This neighbourhood also offers a large recreation area, Abbottsfield Mall and excellent access to multiple amenities including Rundle Park & Golf, via major routes. The name of this community comes from the notable Abraham Abbott, who served Beverly School District for 37 years with distinction as a custodian.
