About Kernohan

Kernohan community is situated in north east Edmonton in the Clareview area, named after a former pioneer farmer dating all the way back to 1880s. This area overlooks the North Saskatchewan River Valley and Hermitage Park offering natural multi-use trails and a large off leash area and picnic sites. The majority of the residential properties were built in the late 1970s with single detached home as the predominant type of dwelling. There are also apartment style condos and duplexes in the area. Kernohan offers quick access to Victoria and Yellowhead Trail. Kernohan Park is located on Clareview Road where you'll find Anne Fitzgerald Catholic Elementary School as well as some amenities including, Global Pharmacy, Tots World Out of School Care, a beauty & tan salon, Shenanigans Pub & Grill, Black Market Tattoo and Victoria Trail Physiotherapy. Victoria Trail is located on Kernohan's west border, where Belmont Town Centre is located. This location also offers a quick commute to Clareview Town Centre & LRT STATION, Clareview community recreation centre, Manning Shopping Centre, Riverview Crossing, Rundle Park Golf, Sunridge Ski area and Rundle Park. Public transit, Fort Road, the Yellowhead and the Anthony Henday are also easily accessible in this neighborhood as well.
